Xandres colours Black Friday GREEN for the fourth time in a row
We are not offering artificial discounts to stimulate overconsumption today, but instead are encouraging consumers to cherish what they already have. We are closing our webshop and all our stores today, 29 November, as a protest to Black Friday. Instead, we will repair all the clothing you have dropped off.

Did you know that the Xandres items you purchase are repaired for free by Xandres for life? For Green Friday, we are highlighting this service, and all of our employees will help repair the clothes you drop off. By doing so, you will contribute to a Xandres forest, which we are planting in Madagascar together with Go Forest!
Caring for nature
As we did last year, Xandres is partnering with Go Forest, a social enterprise that offers businesses and individuals an accessible way to engage in nature restoration and reforestation. For every repair, we plant a tree in the already existing ‘Xandres forest’, planted in Madagascar last Green Friday. That forest has since grown to 1,000 mangrove trees! A big thank you to all of you for dropping off your items and joining us in giving something back to nature. Keep track of how many repairs and trees we will achieve this year!
Behind the scenes at Xandres today
Besides mending your clothes, we are also running workshops about Repair & Care today.
We will learn to upcycle leftover fabrics into fun accessories, repair our own clothes with
creative techniques such as using patches and patterns, get EcoHack training and even
prepare sustainable vegetarian snacks, among other things.
