Two women, two generations, one shared passion: Axelle, a pilot, and her mother Miek, a cabin supervisor at Brussels Airlines. This Mother’s Day, they open up about their special bond, a mutual love for flying, and how the skies brought them even closer together.
 

Axelle grew up surrounded by suitcases and stories of faraway places. With both parents working in aviation, it almost seemed like her path was written in the stars. But it wasn’t just in her DNA — it was, above all, her own determination. After earning her degree in Industrial Engineering, she dove headfirst into an intensive flight training program. Today, she flies all over Europe — the result of years of perseverance and dedication. “No dream is too big,” Axelle says, “as long as you’re willing to fight for it.”
