CARBON FOOTPRINT
FASHION HAS AN IMPACT — AND SO DO WE. AT XANDRES, WE’RE COMMITTED TO UNDERSTANDING THAT IMPACT AND REDUCING IT WHEREVER POSSIBLE. IN 2024, WE REACHED OUR PREVIOUS GOAL OF REDUCING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT BY 25% COMPARED TO 2019. THAT’S A BIG MILESTONE, BUT OUR WORK DOESN’T STOP THERE. AS WE CONTINUE TO GROW, KEEPING OUR EMISSIONS UNDER CONTROL BECOMES BOTH MORE CHALLENGING AND MORE ESSENTIAL.
Most of our emissions come from:
• the materials we use (58%)
• transport (13%)
• how clothes are used and cared for (12%)
• our energy use (9%)
We follow the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, allowing us to take a comprehensive view of our impact — from production to everyday use and beyond.
Looking ahead, we’ve set new goals for 2030:
• Cut our direct emissions (Scopes 1 & 2) by 60%
• Reduce our product-related emissions (Scope 3) by 40% per item and 50% per euro of revenue
We're not there yet, but we’re building the systems, tools and partnerships to get closer every season.

Bring your own bag – Especially when shopping in-store.
Pick up in-store or at a collection point – If it works for you.
Leave the car when you can – Walk, cycle, or take public transport.
Make use of free repairs – We offer them all year round. - ACTION PLAN
Together with Damartex Group, we’ve built a clear action plan to help reduce our carbon footprint. Some steps are already in motion, others are still growing. It’s a continuous process — but one we’re fully committed to.
Here’s what we’re focusing on:
Electrification of the company fleet
We're replacing company cars with electric models where possible.
Switching to green electricity
We're working to power our offices and shops with renewable energy.
Choosing lower-impact materials
Our buying decisions now include sustainability criteria from the start.
Optimising transport
We're improving how and when goods move to reduce emissions.
Encouraging smart washing behaviour
We promote washing at 30°C — it's better for your clothes and the planet.
These actions support our long-term goals to cut both direct and product-related emissions, while continuing to deliver quality fashion.

CARBON FOOTPRINT
WHEN DISCUSSING THE FASHION INDUSTRY'S ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT, WE OFTEN FOCUS ON GLOBAL SHIPMENT AND TRANSPORTATION. SURPRISINGLY, ONLY 11% OF OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT IS ATTRIBUTED TO TRANSPORTATION. NEVERTHELESS, WE REMAIN COMMITTED TO REDUCING OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT IN LOGISTICS AND PACKAGING TOO.
